The Gospel in Revelation
The revelation in this book originated with God the Father who gave it to Jesus Christ who then showed it to the apostle John who wrote it down "to show His [Christ's] servants" Revelation Revelation is a book of prophecy, filled with symbols that seem mysterious and ominous. However, the clear point of Revelation is that, when you read to the end of the book, God and His people win! Evil and suffering will be banished, and everyone will have had a chance to choose to live God's perfect way forever. We pray this lesson will give you helpful and inspiring understanding that you can use in your life and your further studies of God's inspired Word.
The book of Revelation provides a powerful ending for the Bible. In the end, God and His people win, and evil will be forever defeated. What should we look for, and how should we live between now and then? Much of the book of Revelation is the story of worsening sin and the resultant suffering, climaxing in a time of woe never before experienced. However, the good news of the Bible is that Jesus Christ will return and save us from total self-destruction Matthew Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.
Her smoke rises up forever and ever! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself.

Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands.
